Shape
My website icon and cursor is a box: one thin line, no fill. A box is the simplest form of architecture, and from there I start playing with it. I study how space gets divided — inside the box is the space I have, outside is everything else. Both are space, so neither is filled.
Color
The blue is personal. I love the story of Zima Blue, from Love, Death & Robots — someone who keeps challenging himself and changing, then finds his way back to where he started, content doing simple tasks. It's how I want my life to be, too: simple, with joy in the small daily things. In Chinese we call it 返璞归真, fan pu gui zhen.
The orange is red toned down. In architecture, red means corrections — redlining. I wanted the callout without the correction. So: orange.
